What inspired you to start American Grown and what is your mission with the brand?

American Grown Cannabis was built from family roots in Northern Michigan, where hard work and pride in the craft run deep. What began as a small family dream has become a commitment to doing things the right way, growing quality cannabis with integrity and care.

The name reflects more than a place; it represents a way of life. Every jar is a nod to the values passed down through generations of honesty, craftsmanship, and community. For the family behind American Grown, cannabis isn’t just a business—it’s a legacy built from the ground up.

What are your favorite things to do in Tawas?

The Tawas Point is right behind our store and it's a great spot to get out and enjoy nature. You can even grab a bike and take a leisurely cruise. The Bikes might even be available this spring at our location.

What is a fun fact about Tawas that you'd like to share with our readers?

Long before it was a vacation spot, Tawas was built by local families who farmed, logged, and lived off the land. That same hard-working spirit inspires American Grown Cannabis—a family brand rooted in Northern Michigan pride and dedicated to keeping our community growing strong.
